Team Leader Cleaning – ensure a clean, welcoming LEGO® House experience
Do you want to have a big stake in ensuring that our guests are welcomed by a shining, clean house every day of the season – making the optimal setting for a lifetime experience? And do you thrive when working with skilled people that take pride in every step of their work?
If so, this is your chance to join LEGO® House and steer the direction of our newly established Cleaning team.
Welcome to Facility Management and the Cleaning team
At our iconic LEGO® House building in Billund, you will join the Facility Management department and become Team Leader for our amazing Cleaning team that has recently been insourced. The team consists of 9 permanent employees, including a supervisor and an additional 15 hourly paid employees.
You will also join our People Leader team with 25 leaders from the whole house. Together, we contribute to strategic decisions and planning.
You ensure a great experience for both visitors and employees
Your overall responsibility is to ensure a clean and welcoming LEGO® House for guests and employees – both inside and outside. You will get a close working relationship with the supervisor, who coordinates the tasks regarding the daily cleaning, as well as with colleagues across Facility Management.
While the cleaning staff works from 6-14 as well as every 4th weekend, your working hours will be more flexible, though regular visible presence is recommended in the busy morning hours.
More specifically, you will:
- Ensure employee development and well-being.
- Coordinate across departments in connection with continuous improvements.
- Handle the recruitment and onboarding of new employees – especially during high season.
- Be in charge of the team budget, including staffing and purchasing of cleaning supplies.
- Be in contact and coordinate with external partners who e.g. handle outdoor space and plants inside our house.
Also, this year, we aim to achieve the GREEN ATTRACTION certificate, and your engagement in the process is crucial when you look for green optimization opportunities.
Leadership and communication are your positive points
With your great communication and leadership skills, combined with solid business insight, you understand how to convey strategic decisions to your team.
You are also not afraid to get your hands a little dirty when helping out during peak times, and you can easily transition from that situation to a leadership meeting.
We further imagine that you have:
- Solid leadership experience from a similar leadership role – e.g. from handling seasonal scheduling and temporary or part-time work.
- Worked within facility management and ideally cleaning, so that you understand the intricate details that make a shining difference.
- Experience with resource allocation, budgeting, and partnership agreements – beneficial, but not a must.
- Communication skills in both English and Danish.
